back from lightfair

SO, Im back from Light Fair NYC 2009. didnt have to bloody George Ryders lip. But, I did catch his stupid fucking lecture or healtcare lighting and why he knows about it. He kept mentioning Kenall, the company he works for, and why they are superior. I am goin to bring this to the attention of the IES and try to get Kenall bannned. Fuck them man, they are a bunch of pricks, self promoting assholes, they don't care about the lighting industry, they want to patent basic designs that we at Kurtzon originated and didn't patent. The owner of Kenall, James Hawkins, his brother is some patent lawyer or some bullshit so it makes sense they would try to patent shit. All I know is those bastards are going to the 7th circle of hell when they die. They should move their company to China, then they could steal all the designs they wanted. I am going to make it my business goal to sink Kenall lighting. Fuckin bunch of no talent copy cats who can't think for themselves. Their designs are weak and innefectual.

Light Fair was great tho, it was good to see old clients and you can tell who the scumbags are and who was out there to learn and become better reps for Kurtzon. I liked seeing the father / son dynamic in Pyramid Lighting with Rudy and Chris Gilly.

Gotta run to a hospital in Elgin to take flicks of our new product. Then we have to develop literature on the other new product, the LED cooler light, which will end up in 60 grocery stores all around Boston. This is the beginning of my successful design career in lighting

This is for Cinco De Mayo, I forgot to mention that.

No Mexicans I talk to give a shit about cinco de mayo. Which makes me think its a gringo holiday made up so we can drink coronas and take the day off.

Speaking of drinking, if anyone wants to hang with me when I get back from lightfair @ 4:30 pm May 8th, we can drink some beers on my porch while i regale you with stories of Lighting and the wonderful fair that bears its name.

Lightfair 2009 NYC

Going to NYC tomorrow for lightfair 2009 > http://www.lightfair.com/lightfair/V40/

I hope I don't see Kenall's George Ryder in a public setting otherwise it will be a showdown.
A physical showdown, which will likely end up with me beating the shit out of a +55 year old.

I hope I do get to walk the show. See some sick LED's / take flicks. I want to hit Canal st. get some shades and cologne for 1/8th the price I would in dept. store. Also hit the Kid Robot store for some overpriced plastic shit. Then Google for lunch with El, my cousin who works for Google NYC.

I hope to G-d my $3K worth of samples make it there OK.

I lost my dolce and gabbana glasses on the bus 2 days ago. I feel like chump, now i have to wear my nerd frames to give these presentations, granted Ang likes them, but I think I look like a dork. Whatever. When I get back I have an excuse to get some sexy new frames. Maybe even contacts. Fuck it. I hate them but we are living in a material world and I am a material dude.

Can't mess up my projector. 1080p bitch.

Meeting with the Alderman of the 28th ward (Update)

So after meeting with the alderman, I was left with the sense that EVENTUALLY, things would be different. I had hoped to establish my organization as a reputable company, I did that. I wanted to open a dialouge. I did that also. I left behind a catalog and my card and emphasized that we were a union shop that employs people in the Lawndale community. This was something that struck a chord with the Alderman. He then offered to come into my facility and tour the plant. That would also give me a chance to show him the insane parking situations we have to deal with on a daily basis.

BULLS WIN!!!!!! Game Seven in Beantown!

Rajon Rondo tried to start a fistfight. Paul Pierce got his nose bloodied. Kendrick Perkins fouled out. Heinrich missed a point blank layup. Brad Miller hit a 3. Joakim Noah finally learned how to dunk. If the Bulls can minimize the turnovers, CAPITALIZE on free throws, and box out the big duo of Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby Davis to get some rebounds, we have a chance to get to the 2nd round. This was HUGE victory for the young Bulls, the Celtics looked old and frail by the start of the 3rd OT. Ray Allen was their one bright spot. Had it not been for him, we could have closed this one out in regulation. He has the uncanny ability to catch, shoot and HIT a three. He was in the UC since 3pm practicing his tre ball. We need Ben Gordon and John Salmons to stop being so damn GREEDY with the ball. Pass it once and a while, wait for your shot, be patient. That was the main difference I saw in offense.
